Build it block by block

Open your image and it becomes a grid of Minecraft blocks. The list next to it is your shopping list: every block the build needs and how many of each. Click a block in the list to see where it goes.

The block colors are measured from the block textures of Java Edition, so the build looks like the picture in the game, not only on screen.

Map art

A map shows 128 × 128 blocks. Map art mode uses the colors a map can show and sets that size in one click.

Questions

Which blocks does it use?
Block art uses 51 blocks: 16 wool, 16 concrete and 17 terracotta colors, plus smooth stone and polished diorite for greys. You can limit it to wool, concrete or terracotta only.
How big should my build be?
64 blocks wide is a good first build. 128 × 128 is exactly one map. 16 or 32 is quick to build in survival.
What is map art mode?
Map art uses the colors a Minecraft map shows (Java Edition, flat build, one shade per block color) at 128 × 128, so the picture fills one map.
